Empty legs

November 30, 2008 — Category: Private Jet Advice — Posted by Lee

For people who often travel on business, empty leg charter flights are a brilliant way to save money on the cost of flying private. If you normally fly first class on commercial flights then you may find that the cost doesn’t differ that much to flying on an empty leg flight.

An empty leg flight is when a private jet is returning from a drop-off empty. When you book an empty leg flight you can usually save up to 35% off the average cost of a private jet charter.

There are many websites that offer information on empty leg flights, you can join theses websites and search for a flight that suits your needs, or have them email you when a suitable flight becomes available. You will then be able to compare the cost of the flight with what you would pay for a normal private jet charter.
When you book an empty leg flight you’ll still be flying private so the luxury, comfort and convenience will still be the same, the only things you will be saving is money and time. You may even be able to reposition your flight to your desired airport.
